Holly and I want to say a huge thank you to Katharine and Wendy for helping to make our wedding weekend at The Oak Barn the best weekend of our lives. The Winter Wedding package offered us a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring our family and closest friends together for a weekend of celebrations in a special place that felt like home for a great price. From our first visit to the moment we left after our wedding day Katharine was kind, helpful and extremely accommodating. Wendy's food was delicious and her teams service was top notch. Everything we needed to entertain and host guests from 8 weeks old to 80 was available on site in a beautiful setting on the edge of Dartmoor. We would 100% recommend a winter wedding at the Oak Barn for any couples looking for a weekend celebration of love and joy.

We wanted to say thank you again for being the most welcoming hosts and allowing us to use the Oak Barn to have the most magical day. We cannot thank you enough for all the work you did behind the scenes on the day and also all your communication leading up to the big day. We truly had the best 3 days, so thank you very much!

We got married at The Oak Barn in June 2025 and it was everything we had dreamed of - and more! From start to finish, Katharine and John were absolutely fantastic. Their support and guidance throughout the entire planning process helped make our day truly perfect.

We celebrated our wedding at the end of May. The grounds and gardens at the Oak Barn looked amazing and really stunned our guests with how charming and romantic they were. We chose the venue for its authenticity - it didn't feel contrived and the setting reflected our love of Devon and the outdoors. The venue, both inside and out, is impressive yet homely with just the right amount of luxury without feeling out of place.

Truly spectacular venue for a wedding in the countryside. We hired almost the entire accommodation for a few nights too and it felt like a special holiday. Everything has been done to the highest standards and it was a real privilege to have celebrated our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding at The Oak Barn. Katharine and John are superb hosts in every way and went out of their way to help and advise wherever possible without ever being intrusive. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a flawless experience.

From our very first email to Katharine requesting more information, until the check out on Sunday after our Wedding, the support and service from the Oak Barn was fantastic. The location and venue speak for themselves. No request was too much trouble. We all had the best time and thank you so much for hosting our wedding!

This place is just magical! The hosts are super lovely and really helpful! It's a truly wonderful place to get married! We were lucky enough to have an outdoor ceremony below the giant oak! The rooms are superb. The two areas for the bride and groom to get ready in are stunning and so fit for purpose! Once again, it is just such a magical place to get married!

Me and Royal would like to massively thank you for all that you did for during the day and even after! From receiving all deliveries, to swiftly moving chairs, making sure everything was on the right tracks and everything else! I could make a list but I just want you to know that my family, me & Royal and the guests were in awe of how much you did throughout the day for us. There are no words to describe how much it is appreciated and will continue to be appreciated in the future.

I cannot recommend this venue enough. Katherine and John were fantastic and really made our weekend special.

Throughout the entire planning process they were extremely responsive, helpful and organised. Katherine had lots of really helpful suggestions and was happy to offer us anything she had onsite that would fit our themes. This made the planning stages easy rather than stressful! All of the accommodation is excellent and an extremely high standard. Everyone who stayed was extremely impressed.

I couldn't have been happier to have picked the Oak Barn for our wedding. Would 1000% recommend!

Katharine & John at the Oak Barn were so amazing in making the weekend special for us. They have perfected the art of always being around to help and make sure things run smoothly, whilst simultaneously keeping out of sight and letting you have the day you want without ever feeling like you're encroaching on somebody else's property. And the property itself is amazing! The gardens are beautifully kept, there is so much space to use outside and inside. The barns are gorgeous; light, airy and large. The bedrooms are so beautiful too.

As soon as we saw the Oak Barn we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. An incredibly beautiful set up in an amazing location. Katharine and John were hugely helpful in the planning process and nothing was too much trouble. The weekend was incredible, this was made all the more special by Katharine and John going way above and beyond for us. John and Katharine did so much work behind the scenes which allowed us to have the best wedding weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
