By Car

If you have a satnav or use a route planner, then the postcode you can use to find us is EX6 6LF. However, if you are travelling to us from Exeter on the A30 then most satnavs will tell you to leave the A30 at Woodleigh Junction and come through the village of Cheriton Bishop. We advise against this, as this route involves driving through a maze of country lanes. We recommend that you leave the A30 at the Whiddon Down Junction as described below.

From the A30

Leave the A30 at the Whiddon Down Junction and follow the signs towards Hittisleigh.

If you were travelling eastwards on the A30 (from Okehampton) then this means turning right almost immediately after the sliproad, and then left after about 200 yards onto the Hittilsleigh road.

If you were travelling westwards (from Exeter), then turn immediately right after the sliproad to cross the bridge over the A30, then left onto the Cheriton Bishop road. The road to Hittisleigh is about 200 yards up on your left.

Follow this Hittisleigh road for approximately 4 miles and you’ll reach the village of Hittisleigh. Continue on this road through the village and you’ll see St Andrews Church on top of the hill. Hittisleigh Barton is the large farmhouse immediately next to the church on the left hand side of the road.

From Crediton

The easiest way to reach us from the Crediton direction is to first follow signs to Yeoford from the western end of town. Upon arriving in Yeoford, cross the railway bridge and immediately turn right, which is signposted to Hittisleigh.

Follow this road to Hittisleigh for about 4 miles until you see the village sign. Hittisleigh Barton is the large collection of farm buildings on the right hand side of the road.

By Train

The nearest major train station to us is Exeter St Davids, which is about 35 minutes drive by car. Alternatively, there is a small station in the village of Yeoford which is only 10 minutes drive away.

We are more than happy to come and collect you from Yeoford train station for viewings of the Oak Barn, but unfortunately cannot offer collections for large numbers of people.

By Plane

The nearest airport to us is Exeter Airport, which is approximately 40 minutes drive by taxi.

By Bus

Unfortunately Hittisleigh is a small community and has no regular bus service.
